The client’s brief was to modernise an already well built home by increasing its energy efficiency and street appeal. Living areas received a huge boost of natural light and views to the north by means of an upward sweeping roof with highlight windows over. The seamless integration from inside to outside was completed by the installation of large sliding doors to the front and back of the home. A large covered deck is now the perfect place to relax on a hot summer’s day by the pool.
Internally, the living spaces were decluttered by removing part walls and installing an open plan kitchen. Floor sanding of the existing floors, both upstairs and downstairs has completed the renovation. The increase in energy rating from 2 to 6 stars has completely changed the way the family uses and lives in this beautiful home.
